Your Learning Journey

I've tried to make it easy to prepare for the course!  You’ll need a computer, reliable internet, a set of headphones, and a free basic level Zoom account to get started.

You’ll also need to purchase two books

Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving, by Pete Walker; and

The Body Keeps the Score, by Bessel van der Kolk.

And don’t forget to bring your enthusiasm!

Earning your CTS is a wonderful accomplishment! The knowledge shared through this educational experience will prepare you to lead a more trauma-informed and trauma-trained professional and personal life. You can also choose to enroll in the second course, leading to certification as a Trauma Recovery Coach.

This is a fifteen-hour course that meets once a week for 1.5 hours over 10 weeks. You can choose a course that meets Mondays (7:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST) or a course that meets Wednesdays (7:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST) starting the week of January 16, 2023, and winding down the week of March 20, 2023. Both courses contain the same material.  The course is completely online. There will be a meet and greet informal session that is highly recommended but not mandatory on January 9 and January 11 at the regular course time.
